Yet Another Animal Friendly Law Passed in Mass!!
I just received this thank you email and it brought me a lot of joy!
Thank you for helping to protect animals and people from poisoning
Thanks to your calls and emails,
H. 4285 passed the Massachusetts Senate on July 13th and was signed into law by the Governor on July 19th. This new law will prevent accidental and malicious poisonings of animals and people by requiring that a bittering agent be added to antifreeze to make it less palatable.
This important legislation will take effect in Massachusetts on January 1, 2011.
We often ask our elected officials to support or oppose legislation that affects animals, but should also remember to say thank you when they enact animal-friendly laws.
