I really like old things that were designed to be serviced or fixed and last. If that kind of thinking had prevailed, we would have a lot less in landfills!

Some things old like plumbing and wiring I'd rather update.

I have to say after taking a look under the carpet in my little 1940's bungalow at the original wood flooring, the quality of the wood is amazing and very much worth refinishing!

there are some new green home design products that I like very much such as recycled glass counter tops and composting garbage disposals.

And I'm never giving up my Sunbeam perculator! Never!
