I hear you are getting better each day, and I bet your loved ones are sure glad you are okay. I am glad you are resting.

Thank you for the healiing prayers and candles for Milana since July 14th.

Yesterday she awoke in the morning and mouthed "Where am I ?". I told her Saddleback Hospital, ICU. She squeezed my hand and the Respiratory Tech's affirmative when asked if they could try to take her off the vent.

My dear friend was taken off the ventilator for almost 8 hours yesterday, and breathing on her own for the first time in 3 weeks, just on O2 from the wall. A week ago a Doctor sugested she be a No Code when they realized her feeding tube was pouring into her belly and not her stomach.

ICU nurses are thrilled. I got home early last nite and slept. So the power of the universe is great when people come together.

I am on my way back to ICU, as they are going to try agaoin this morning to let her breathe on her own. One baby step at a time.
