So after Palin gets her speaking fee (god knows how much that will be) and after Beck gets *his* speaking fee and after the organization pays to cover the costs then the SOWF gets whatever is left. Now, I'm not saying that is shady--typically that's how benefits work but it should be noted that the claim that this is 'for charity' isn't *precisely* the case.

As far as his picking a locale, well that's just Beck being provocative and trying to take on the mantle of the civil rights movement. It won't work, of course, but it doesn't *have* to work it just needs to make money and Beck will not be out any cash come 29 August (although I doubt the event will make a lot of money for the SWOF).

I agree, at this point it is impossible for Beck to open his mouth without being political!
