We have super hard water here in Tucson, too...it makes keeping bathrooms clean a real challenge.

Baking soda works really well as does Comet. I try to make a paste out of both and (if possible) let it sit on the stains for a full 24 hours (well, the shower and sink at least). With the toilet I use a pumice stone. It's the only thing that works!

My least favorite chore is folding and putting away laundry. Dusting is a close number two but I think that living in the desert where EVERYTHING is dusty ALL THE TIME has only made that chore worse!
