The WHOLE thread. I can give you a quick picture.
Anyone can come up with and idea to do something fun.

Someone volunteers to be the Wrangler. They pick the topic, the dates to close the list, and the postmark deadline date, and the maximum number of signees to close the list at, and the postage to enclose so they may return the bulk mail. (It closes when either the list is full, or the date is met.)(Some people beg pretty please, and are of course added

All items, plus a mailing expenses are sent to the Wrangler, who will then have all signees adddress. Wrangler then mails out one of each from the collection they have received, to the list of signeees.

The thread does show some of the fun , creative stuff that has been wrangled.
