I noticed folks saying that it is difficult to find femmes or butches in their particular area, even if it is a well known or close to a well known "queer" mecca. I live about 30 miles from Ptown so I know what you mean.

One of the problems I have as a butch who likes femmes, is my gaydar is differently abled. If I think someone is queer, they arent. If I think they arent, they are. If I think someone is flirting with me, they arent. If they are flirting with me, I am oblivious to it.

So, my suggestion for a topic today is how can impaired butches like myself distinguish a queer femme from a straight femme in everyday living?

I have a similar problem. I am a femme and MOST people just assume I am straight! Blah!!! So I have no idea. Useless here, but totally one of my biggest frustrations. Now I know that it would be easy for me to spot a Butch and chat it up, BUT so not easy for me. I am far too clumsy and shy to have any "game" lol
