Thank you. Interesting, I think he "gets" that it helps him to feel better. he is a very sweet old fellow. today at the vet he was very calm while having blood drawn. I just sang "our" song- I made up one when he first came home with me and it always seems to calm him. Yes, silly, but, my pets are my guys!
When I first rescused him, 15 yearsrs ago, he had a big scrape on his nose and the vet that patched him up had to de-claw him because he must have been stuck in something (his head)- maybe a tin can. So, his frony paws were a mess and the vet neded to clean them up and do stitching. Poor kitten! He was so malnurished.
But, he is a handsome boy! His nose has character, I think and his paws are kind of stbby, but work just fine.
I just hope his tests come back with some good news in terms of the decline of kidney function. I really want him around for a few more years. Don't mind doing the sub-q at all for him. In fact, he purrs while getting the fluids. yes, I sing the song then, too!
