i am thankful for the insistence of honesty.

For being held accountable.

For not being allowed to slide under the radar.

For being expected to be towards others the way i expect people to be with me.

For the opportunity to grow and trust and know it's ok...and for the not-so-gentle reminders when i lose sight of this for a minute.

i don't appear thankful for certain things, especially if they are probably for my own good, but i am thankful for them deep down inside.
