I talked with Frisky Femme in AZ for about 2 hours today. I met her here in GA on her visit about 3 years ago. She's knows what I'm going through and we she has been a great support..non-judgmental, listens, she has patience and a lot of understanding. Somehow we got on the subject of Benny Goodman because she likes to swing dance. So I told her the story about Benny Goodman, the Palomar Ballroom in 1935, his Carnegie concert in '38, rooming with Glenn Miller in New York, the famous "Goodman Stare", stuff on Glenn Miller and where Pennsylvania 6-5000 came from—tons of stuff. I told her it was worthless information, but she thought it was fascinating. So I'm going to send her Goodman cuts, some Charlie Barnett, and Miller re-recorded note-for-note in stereo. If you ever get to meet Frisky Femme, you'll like her, she's priceless.
