After a busy, hectic, sad night at work yesterday, I got a text from Dixie that she was up. Way earlier than I thought she would be up. I just needed to hear her voice (we text all the time but I hate actually talking to anyone on the phone so we don't call very often).

Hearing that sweet, sleepy voice. Those cute giggles. Talking about her adventure at school on Friday trying to find her building. Hearing her excitement and plans for school.

Brought me great peace and joy this morning. Oh how she brightens my days.
