I know it doesn't happen every year, but I lived in Central FL for more than 20 years and have seen the keys be evacuated several times. Not just hurricanes, but really severe storms too.

I'm just saying it would be a shame and a great loss of what is often someone's ONLY vacation time off for the year and what is every penny they've saved for months and months.

There was a bash several years ago in Nawlins. Before Katrina. I wasn't able to make that one and I've been kind of sad about that. It would be interesting.
