I want to thank everyone for their prayers, thoughts and well wishes for little Ivan.
I took Ivan to the veterinarian's office and he has a case of intestinal parasites. I guess frogs, even ones bred and raised in captivity, can tend to get a wide assortment of nematodes, protozoans, and trimatodes in their intestines. Anyway, it is treatable and I have a worming medication and an antibiotic for Ivan that should do the trick to get rid of the problem. The only hitch is that I have to get a small tuberculin syringe into his mouth to dispense about 1/10th of a cc of medicine. I have to do this for 5 days running and I have the other medication to put in his mouth every 2 weeks for 6 weeks. This should get rid of the worms. I never thought I'd be worming a frog. .gif)
Ivan should soon be on the mend and back to singing for crickets....and Myra.
