The common cold seems so uncommon when my head becomes a soggy wet roll of tissue and my throat is cactus lined as my lungs express their desire to expand. A doctor can do nothing for a common cold as it is a virus. The only thing that can be done is to treat the symptoms that befall the sufferer, like the stuffy nose, coughing, and head pressure ; all treatable by over the counter cold medicine, not antibiotics. I hope this helps.
