Looking from behind the Mirror
As I walk past the mirror. I stop to take a long look at the image that is looking back at me.
I start to follow the lines of the face that once did not exist. The smile that once laughed years of vocal sounds, looks sadder.
The lips that use to have a multifaceted of expression . Seem to frown down wards.
The forehead that once was flawless, is filled with scars and wrinkles of long past.
The cheeks that once were proud as my ancestry seem hollow and limp.
I stare deeply into these eyes. The eye’s that once had a fierce fire, seems dim.
What has happened to the person in the mirror, that is looking back at me?
Shall I take down the mirror so that I can look from behind the mirror?
Perhaps I will find the once youthful and vibrant being that once lived in the old body.
Or will I see. As I do from the front of the mirror. And old dull coating of silver.
Mine.
