i got a big change to my hair not too long ago myself.. i got layers, ive never had layers, talk about a difference, my hair is so thick so layers makes it sooo much more manageable.. took me a bit to get used to it, but now i love the layers.. my hair is finally growing long again, i didn't care for it up to my shoulders so much, missed my long hair LOL.. but i'll definitely keep getting layers now..

My hair is really thick too...i've been having my hair in layers for a long time. You're right, it really does make hair more managable
