Ours loves it too. He's a little scared of the waves, but he likes to follow along when we hunt shells, and will run ahead quite a bit too.
He cracked me up last time. Scoote was some distance from the rest of us and out knee-deep in the water when a strange dog (looked like a pitbull) went running up to her. The dog was being perfectly friendly, but Shadow (a mini-dachshund) decided he needed to protect her...and went charging and barking at the other dog.
The dog just looked at him like
, wagged and trotted off.
