when applying for a loan I was asked if I owned stocks. I said, "Yes, about 45 of a telecommunications company."
Then I was asked, "How much are they worth?"
Me "Not much. The company went bankrupt."
Loan guy "Well, I'll need documentation on how many stocks you have and what they're worth."
Me *laughing*
Loan guy "......"
Me "They're penny stocks now! It will cost me more, in stamps and long distance phone calls, to find out what they're worth than they are actually worth."
Loan guy "We need documentation."
Me "Yeah, I'll get right on that."

so - no loan for me, I guess.
