Wrangling with the VA to get them to turn loose of my medications.

When they put your name up on the board in the waiting room, it means that one's prescriptions are filled and ready to be picked up. So, when my name came up, I went back to the pharmacy window (where the pharmacy clerk sits behind a bulletproof wall of plexiglass and medicines are dispensed via a little steel one way door) to pick my medicine up. I was told "Oh, we're sorry, Mr. Theo, your medicines are, in fact, NOT ready. It's going to be another 20 -30 minutes. Go sit down."

I went back and sat down, and I waited for the next 30 minutes. Then I got up and went back there again. I said, "Okay, it's been 30 minutes, so where's my medicines??". The clerk forked them over to me.

I wouldn't normally be so annoyed, but this happens to me EVERY time I go up to that main pharmacy to pick up my prescriptions.

This sort of thing is my little reminder to keep my usual practice of ordering my refills online and getting my meds mailed to me every month. Now, if you'll excuse me, I'm going to go and take my blood pressure pill.

I love the VA
