My little gang of frogs are sheer, pure joy!!!

Late last night, Tootsie finally ventured down to the big frog water bowl where Miss Myra was having herself a leisurely midnight soak. Myra dwarfs little Tootsie and when she's in the bowl, she's even bigger because she sprawls out in order to absorb more water. Well, little Tootsie sat on the rim of the big water bowl for about 15 minutes, looking at Myra (who was looking at her) and trying to decide if she really wanted to venture in.

Finally, Tootsie gingerly climbed in beside Myra and I got a little antsy watching all this, because I always wonder if I've filled the bowl a little too much and it might be too deep for little Tootsie with her missing right back foot. I have always held a little fear in my heart that she wouldn't be able to get enough traction to get out, if it was too deep. So, I pulled up a chair and waited to see the result of all of this. Tootsie snuggled in next to Myra and then the both proceeded to stare AT ME!!! Four little black eyes fixed on me as if to say, "Whatchu lookin' at??"!!

Tootsie sat with Myra for almost 2 hours in the big water bowl. Oh, and all during this time, Ivan was sitting on top of the new big waterfall watching all of this. So, make that 3 sets of little black eyes on me. Finally, I guess little Tootsie had had enough soaking and was ready to climb out. I held my breath. At first she clamored around a bit, trying to get traction, but then I saw a little hand fly up and land squarely on the top of Myra's head. Tootsie climbed right on top of Myra's back and head (she's a BIG girl) and hoisted herself out of the water. Myra just sat patiently and allowed her to use her as a "step stool". It was the cutest thing you could imagine.....one big girl helping the little "sister". Myra is so sweet, gentle and accommodating. She's really been the heart and soul of The Big Frog House. She is my "First Frog", in every sense of the word. They simply don't get any better than her. She HAS to have a Femme soul.

So ya.....Frogs. Pure Joy.
