I did have one, it was horrible and definitely scary at times.
The concussion I had impacted me pretty significantly for about 6-9months.
I had short term memory loss and difficulty focusing; I would forget things and sometimes struggle to find the "right word".
I saw a neurologist who ordered lots of tests.
Everything righted itself after my concussion, but it took much longer than I could have imagined. And it was very frustrating at times.
I concur with everyone else who has posted: if you haven't already - seek medical care and make sure you have someone stay with you at your home to help you for a few days.
Try to keep a log of how you are feeling (symptoms, issues); it will prove useful if you are still feeling 'off' after a week or two.
Also, be prepared to advocate for yourself medically and seek specialist care if you're worried.
Most providers will diagnose a concussion, but few Primary Care physicians will order expensive neurological tests like MRIs/MRAIs/EEGs.
Get lots of rest, drink lots of water and rely on your loved ones to help you out for awhile. Feel better soon.
