I walked my dog (always my first thing), came home, made my morning triple espresso, savoured it on the deck, had some whole grain toast with sunflower seed butter (yum!, from Trader Joe's)), made bed, did some house clearing and organizing, made a run to the dry cleaner's (dropped off and picked up, and brought hangers to recycle), brought a Japanese screen to the Goodwill, with a bag of plastic bags to recycle, found out I could recycle old glasses and dropped them off at Lenscrafters, got some neon tubes for under the kitchen cabinets and installed them, took the subway to Manhattan to go back to the Japanese store where I bought sweaters a couple of days ago, and got long sleeve tees, leggings and camisoles, went into Housing Works Bookstore and Café (NYC charity which has several thriftstores also, they help patients with AIDS), which is the best bookstore in NYC and this weekend is first weekend of the month when everything is 30% off! I got a first edition of a Madeleine L'Engle book for $17! It lists at around $100/$150! Plus a charming book by a Japanese young woman artist, who does brushwork painting where drawings are mixed with her poetry!, and two cookbooks! All for $50! Had an ice tea there and took the subway home because the books were heavy!
Now I am home, but will need to walk the dog again soon, and I just realized I did not have lunch! It will be probably bread and cheese and a glass of wine!
I know nothing about the rest of my day, although I need to sort out my winter and spring clothes! Dinner is planned : the rest of my grilled flank steak, sliced over greens and cherry tomatoes.
