I am surrounded by your darkness, but I am not afraid. Parts of you touch my skin as I move, gentle as a lover. You cover me completely, protecting me from everything beyond yourself. I can get lost in you for hours. Sometimes you leave paths so I can delve even deeper into the heart of your being.
You calm me. You whisper to me. When I am tired, I can rest against the strength of what makes you whole. Occasionally, others join me when I am inside you. As much as I enjoy being fully surrounded by you, I must always leave you before night falls.
