My dads twin sister is very ill. Shes in the hospital because her blood sugar keeps dropping almost fatally low. Each time they manage to pull it back up, but they dont understand why it continues to happen.

She has been so upset and discouraged by the whole situation that last night she tried to take her own life. Today is their birthday. My dad got this news this morning at work. When he approached someone at work to talk about things... He was told that the hospital he works for keeps a "sunshine fund" to help get people where they need to be in times of family emergency. They talked to the chaplain, who arranged for my the hospital to purchase a round trip ticket for my dad to spend a week in Nebraska with his sister.

My candle is lit for my aunt, and my father, for their birthday, their connection, and their health.
