Very glad you signed up! It's always fun to have a newbie .

Here's the basics:

1) Include a single five dollar bill with your project to cover the wrangler's mailing costs.

2) To figure out how many projects to send the wrangler (everything gets sent to the wrangler- in this case, me), wait till the sign-up is closed (end of this weekend), and look how many people signed up. Then mail one less than the # of people signed up (because you don't need to make one for yourself).

3) We frequently do 4 by 6 or 5 by 7 inch homemade postcards, but some people occasionally do something 8.5 by 11. Don't get larger than that. Don't mail anything too heavy or too big. When I mail out the projects, I mail them in a priority mail envelope. Basically you want to keep in mind that it has to be easy and cheap for the wrangler to send with a bunch of other projects.

4) It doesn't have to be a postcard. Some people make a little journal, use photos they've taken, or other random creativity. They should have a homemade quality to them. They can all be the same or each be different. You can label who you want each to go to or let the wrangler decide. It's all up to you.

5) Dont' worry about skill level. Some people are very professional craft genius types and other people are just having fun and expressing themselves. It's nice to have a mix! Some people spend a long time on their projects and others don't. It's all good! The most important thing is to complete your projects relatively on time and send them in.

Let us know if you have other questions

Newbies welcome (as long as you can commit to follow-through on the project) !

THE RISK PROJECT

My idea is for us all to go outside our comfort zone and try a new form of art or creative technique or something each of us personally don't usually do. The idea is to not worry about whether it comes out "good" or not and to just do something that feels risky for you and be okay with sending out the results. Success will be evaluated by oneself based on whether you let yourself get out of what you are used to, not whether the finished project is something you'd consider your best. To the contrary, sending out "imperfect" first results as one's final projects are encouraged.

Cut off date- let's see if we can get our sign ups by end of this weekend.

Due date: June 15th (My correct address starts with 309. If you don't have that, PM me for it.)
