I think we often think about love with our romantic partners but I'd like to do a "friends" version of "Love Is" (and this can go for romantic partners as well!)
Love is:
* saying "I'm proud of you" or "I support you" every now and then.
* being honest - even when it's hard.
* trusting the friendship - Knowing that your friendship is as important to your friend as it is to you.
* taking space when it's given, giving space when it's needed.
* truly being happy for your friend's accomplishments and rooting them on as their biggest fan.
* loving your friend enough to say, "Hey, when you say/do x, y, z it makes you look like an asshole and I don't want people thinking that of you..."
* keeping your friends feelings and confidences safe.
* understanding that nobody is perfect, not even your perfect friend - And reveling in all of those imperfections for the gifts they are.
