mmmmmm....

I'm dog sitting and there is a cold frame in the back yard with a couple of different kinds of kale, red lettuce, green lettuce and arugula (rocket), flat leaf parsley, plus other herbs in the garden. This morning, before it got 85 outside, I harvested some for dinner. I was also puttering in her yard so there are fresh cut yellow roses and lavender for the table.

marinated steak on the grill

sautéed kale with onions, garlic, baby carrots

potato salad (southwestern style-I made it this am)

small salad of baby red/green lettuce, arugula, heirloom purple tomatoes lightly dressed with a basil lemon vinaigrette.

sweet tea by the gallons.......
