I've tried to thank a couple of people today and I get this error every time:

My cookies are cleared.
Edited to say nevermind. I cleared the cookies and tried to thank again with no success and then got distracted by the pest guy and then I accidentally....maybe....kicked Bessie and now I seem to be able to thank just fine.
I think I'll just kick her first next time.
