In my late teens/early 20s while i still lived in Indiana there was this much older woman--the neighborhood kids called her the lady in black. Every night at dusk she would put a candle in her window, and come out dressed all in black with a veil and alternate between sitting on her porch and walking about 20 ft in each direction from her porch. ALL night long. What made it creepier is the street was lined with tress so the street lights casted crazy shadows.

Turns out she had lost her husband and son in some war,and went"crazy" and was "waiting" on their return---Sad once that came out,but creept til then.
