I have found a couple things about my own struggles with weight that I figured I would share here:
1. The bigger my stomach (how much I can fit into it) the hungrier I get. The stomach secrets hormones, I have read, that cause hungry feelings. The bigger the stomach, the more hormones released.
2. My body gets accustomed to doing the same amt. of exercise daily, then I stop losing. So I have to change it up every few weeks if I want to continue to lose. That means longer cardio workouts, or different cardio machines, more frequent work outs, etc.
I stopped going to the gym last December because I got really depressed and just quit doing what I needed to do to take care of my body. I used food as a palliative measure and my stomach got huge. I was then hungry all the time and I easily put on 20lbs. I have that taken off now, and my stomach is smaller so I don't feel so hungry all the time. That was very tough to do. I have still not gone back to the gym, and my chest reconstruction surgery made that not possible for a while. However, I am feeling depressed again now due to certain stresses in my life, and with my agoraphobia getting worse, the gym is the last place I want to be. *sigh*
I wish you all good health and success with your goals!
