My honey wants to know how this kids will be able to read cursive. Will documents like the Declaration of Independence need to be translated?

I have such mixed feelings about this. I never use the cursive I learned. If I must hand write something, I print. However, it feels as if we are destroying a right of passage or something. Sort of makes me sad......
