The relationship does help. I can get a color, cut, style and waxing for less than $60-not including tip. A coworker spends $100 for a color and cut only. Additionally, WHERE you are matters. I go to a stylist in a small town where as my coworker goes to a stylist in a more upscale area.

I have friends who go to barbershops and swear by the cut and service they get.
