You know that song, "You are my sunshine..."? That song used to throw me into terror as a little kid. It would start out all nice and reassuring:

You are my sunshine
My only sunshine
You make me hap-py
When skies are grey

You'll never know, dear
How much I love you
Please don't... take my sunshine away???

And then the next verse, I don't even want to go there. Still today when I hear that song, I get this queasy, doomed feeling.
