I was hungry but had nothing to eat. So I punted.

Stew meat (3/4 of a lb) browned in a small cast iron. I threw some garlic powder on them. Added about 1/3 C of Muscato (it's what I had and I can't drink it any more).

Turned the heat all the way up. Let it bubble/reduce for 3 minutes.

Then I rinsed out a can of black-eyed peas w/ jalapenos and threw those in without the juice (trying to lessen my sodium intake).

Then I added a can of Ro-tel Tomatoes Original (didn't rinse these, lol).

Threw in some pepper and a tiny pinch of sea salt. And about one tablespoon of Worcestershire.

Cooked over medium heat for five minutes.

Put it in a bowl and called it Arwen's 10 minute Hopping John Stew.

Not bad. I did add Tabasco, but you can never have too much tabasco.
