I can't say sumthin' made me smile today...
Or annoyed me....
Much less --->
Maybe more on the side...
Pensive...

After watching a movie that deeply divides my Family in opinions {Just us 3}, for different reasons ranging from reasonable to obnoxious, I did sit to think on it..
My mother claims the ending of said movie pissed her off because the protagonists die, and she never did like movies that ended this way.
Well, 'sort of' never did.
I'll explain..If u wanna hear. Fair warning though, there's Major spoilers for a movie or 2.
I did tell her yes they die, but in the end they're happy. Reunited after death.
She still insisted on the Death part, and I insisted on the Happiness, regardless of such an event.
We were at an Impasse, and I remembered 1 film she absolutely Loves, but can't watch unless she feels she can "handle it".
I reminded her of 'Somewhere in Time', which granted me a groan and "You don't play fair do you?".
I do..Sometimes.
The movie, in my opinion is the epitome of corny, I had to inherit that shit from somewhere.
I despise chick flicks, unless I can walk away with some valid lesson, or a weepy new girlfriend (long live the kleenex.)
I reminded her the protagonists in that film kicked the bucket as well. At different times, also.
But they did wind up happy as well.
She argued the once in my Film didn't have a chance like Mr. Reeves and his companion.
I reminded her his body wasted while he was in Bliss.
She reminded me that my protagonist was a fucking Popsicle when he died (By now, u surely know I'm speaking of Titanic).
Touche.
I asked her if Life was the only time one could possibly be happy.
She shrugged with a thoughtful 'Dunno', adding it's probably a beautiful better feeling shared together though.
Ok, maybe..
But we won't know, until someone actually pops up out of nowhere debunking such a theory.
Again, I asked her if she'd love to see her siblings again, her parents.
I meant well, I wanted an honest remark.
She smiled and said that's the first she hopes to see again after this Life is done with.
I did agree, after all, if I go first I'd love to see her, and my deceased Family, if she goes first, likewise when I pass on.
Morbid as it seems, there should be Happiness together if there's a 'Next Life '....
Why go thru all this shit otherwise?

Have wondrous Mabon, folks
