The couple across the street from us has a cat who apparantly does his "business" outside. Personally, I could never let my cats out of the house, but that's just me.

Anyway ... what irritates me is when it's sub-zero temps outside and/or snowing and this poor little guy is sitting at the front door meowing his little head off wanting to get back in. Hours have passed and I see the little dude out there trying to figure out a way to get their attention. (Jumping on window ledges, climbing on the garage roof to access a nearby window...)

Maybe it's just me, but I would be looking out for my cat to return so I can let him back in quickly. I wouldn't leave him outside for hours knowing it's butt-ass cold out there. Then again, this is why my littles are housecats and would only go out escorted and carefully watched.
