Watching "Cracker", the rescued baby flying squirrel, playing her heart out, learning to climb and run about the tree branches without being so clumsy, how she likes to hang upside down and stretch her tiny arms out...(I tell her she's not a bat, silly thing, she's a flying squirrel

) watching her forage for her food and seeing how chubby her little belly is getting since she's been putting on "winter weight"... seeing her nibble on her deer antler for the first time (which is important to keep her teeth filed down)... it really makes me smile to see how much she loves to play and explore.
It might break my heart to set her back into the wild, she's to tiny...but I think she's learning so much and eating so good that she will make it.
