I think meditation is very important to keep grounded. I have a daily practice that takes literally five minutes. I use my rattle and 'blend' with my authentic self... some say god self... some say higher self... I have no definition for what I blend with... except to say that it helps me stay in my body, present and focused. My grounding exercise before my patients come can vary from silent prayer; to dance to playing my drum or just sitting silently brushing my thoughts away like dust off an antique (me being the antique that is )
