today I went to my youngest niece's baby shower. Lord it was wonderful. troubled as she is, the event (birth) is thrilling and to celebrate it was wonderful...
afterwards, my sister and I drove like crazy women to our church, and had a cookie table at the kids' halloween party. They pick a cookie and then we gop orange icing on it and then they get to put a variety of candy on it to create whatever they want to...a face, some designs, their initial, etc. I was suppose to do face painting but two teens from the church took it over when our cookie table got too busy. It was so much fun seeing all these children in their glory, enjoying a family and church based event/holiday. Of course I am pagan catholic, so halloween/samhain is a very important holiday for me!
I brought home a punkin and a large bag of candy for the neighbor boy. It was a surprise and when I gave it to him he got silly giddy like only a child can.
today was the best!
