I actually think that skirt is adorable.
BUT
Here's what makes what is being done sexist:
A bunch of MEN are telling WOMEN what they can and cannot wear.
Now, if a boxer chooses to wear the skirt, fine. If she chooses to wear trunks, fine.
When they try to take a woman's choice away is when it becomes icky and chock full of -isms.

For boxing professionally, yes. To me, it would take the sport out of it and put the athlete on display like a Barbie doll. It says, "look at me!" instead of "look what I can do!"
