Default this is gonna bore you all to tears...

(I could have had all this done by 10am, but because of IT issues, I dallied a bit...)

finished my Open Enrollment stuff (after reading a very confusing and poorly written Benefits Package)...was thrilled that because I make less than a certain amount, I qualify for $150 FSA Credit that I can use to buy Rx's or pay co-pays, etc, next year.

Helped Children and Youth update their Vaccines For Children info and Immunization materials... (got invited to facilitate a Lunch N Learn next week to present VFC and recent updates to vaccine recommendations to Social Workers and Caseworkers...)

Registered for a Writing Workshop for HealthCare Professionals (convinced boss to pay for it out of my annual allotment )

Clarified a policy on doctors charging Medicaid patients for No-shows...

After several emails and one failed attempt at a phone call: Scheduled a meeting with Workforce Relations to discuss a transfer to something comparable to my skills and education...

Had a long talk with a rather presumptuous NCare Manager about "Building Bridges, Building Relationships [with clients], Discovering Barriers and Resolving Barriers"...

Educated a large group about changes to the Energy Assistance Program...

Advised another NCM on how to get a "medically fragile child" a special hospital bed paid for by their DME Coverage and the Program Exception path for medical necessity... got the good news that "as soon as the forms are done, they will get it!!"...

Facilitated a "Quality Improvement" discussion, FAQ session with a Head RN about our efforts to increase Access to Care to Dental Providers and Dental Preventive Health...advised on which materials are for what audience [providers or patients], clarified what it means to "not get caught in endorsing...", and supplied new materials to the Well Child Clinic Staff...

Educated a few staff on available Influenza Vaccines and what it means as "Thimerosal free"...

Out of curiosity, called the Hospital to find out if they would honor our Employee Health Free Vaccines... Scheduled my own flu shot now that I'm nearly over this awful chest cold...sent an email out to staff, notifying that for those who live in this county, free flu shots are available at a previously unknown/unavailable location...

submitted my payroll...

spent about an hour reviewing/analyzing various policies...

worked on a Resource list for our Nurses...

placed a maintenance request for a broken sink...

and didn't get any production done because of the above and because of IT issues....

To be honest.... it took me longer to post this than it did to accomplish all that, because I had to sit here and think about it...
