took me 1.5 hours, several walks down the hall, and a lot of muttering to myself but i finally figured out the following Excel formula:

=IF(OR(A2=MEDIAN(A2,(E2+345),(E2+385)),A2=MEDIAN(A 2,(E2+710),(E2+750)),A2=MEDIAN(A2,(E2+1075),(E2+11 15)),A2=MEDIAN(A2,(E2+1440),(E2+1480)),A2=MEDIAN(A 2,(E2+1805),(E2+1845)),D2,"No")

[looks at the date in A2, and compares it to the date in E2. It returns the mileage (D2) if the date of A2 is 1, 2, 3, 4, or 5 years (plus or minus 20 days) later than the date in E2]

If I smoked still, I'd be having a couple to celebrate.
