I'm impressed with everyone's delicious-sounding-yet-sensible meal plans for tomorrow. Alas, I do not yet have the willpower to forego all of my favorites dishes, BUT I plan to go to the gym Friday-Sunday. I won't kill myself, but I won't allow myself to slack, either.
And as my friend says, if I'm going to eat what I know I shouldn't, at least I'll enjoy every bite, guilt-free, and get back on track the next day.
That's my plan. Much strength and support to everyone, for a healthy, happy and safe holiday.

Julia, that's a great gameplan for tomorrow actually! Yep, we all have those days where it is ok to splurge and enjoy. Comfort foods around the holidays are sooooooo good and in my house, it's how we've always bonded.
Normally if my mother were doing all the cooking, I would have pretty much been surrounded by all my favorites ~ which I am sure that is how Christmas dinner will be since it's at her house. I'm gonna do my best not to throw my family into shock with too much... so I'm still gonna do the mashed potatoes, baked sweet potatoes or squash instead of the candied yams, steamed green beans instead of the green bean casserole, and make any other healthy modifications I can do without pushing them over the edge
