Actually, I have received the two "gifts" that I have thought about. The first is that my niece does not have advanced ovarian cancer and she has a great prognosis for an otherwise "hidden" cancer that most do not get great results about. She will recover from surgery and treatment well.

The other is that I have had some good results too in pain management. I am really glad I switched specialists because I was not feeling heard.

I spend the weekend before Christmas Day with family at our ranch because we are just spread out regionally. We bring food and exchange one gift via a previous drawing with a limit on spending. A good gift that day would be that my brother-in-law has a good day (Alzheimer's) and recognizes at least his grandchildren. I would be very thankful for that. And my sister not being stressed as a caregiver for him.

On christmas Day, I will again take my dog to the local nursing home for a visit with residents. He rawked on Thanksgiving! For dinner, I will be with a Jewish friend and see a movie. Of course, dinner will be Chinese take out!

So, I got gifts already!
