Default Diana Damrau - 'Der Hölle Rache'

Aria from Act II of Mozart's 'The Magic Flute'. I like to think the Queen is angry because she seemingly had a run-in with a fan and the grill is lodged in her head causing her all kinds of grief. However, that is not the case. In this scene, the Queen of the Night offers a dagger to her daughter, Pamina, with which she is to kill Sarastro, an enemy of the Queen.

The Queen's aria demands she hit a high F6 which is quite rare. It gives me goosebumps!

p.s. Sorry about the opera kick...but I love it!!!
