Thinking about moving there and wondering what the job market is like. I work in health insurance and want to stay in the same career field if that's an option. I don't know how gay friendly Austin is or if there's things to do there geared towards our community, but it can't be any worse than Louisville.

If any of you on the thread can give me the low-down on jobs, etc., please shoot me a message.

Thanks.
Hello,

I've live in Austin for the last 10 years of 22 spent in the central Texas area. Austin is the most gay friendly city in Texas IMHO. Dallas, Houston & San Antonio while they have had or do have more organized communities don't have the laid back, fun atmosphere that Austin has. The best way is to come visit & see for yourself. The job market for your industry may have jobs, but I. Would get the job first, then take the plunge & move.

I hope this helps.
