I haven't posted in a while. I have been keeping up with reading and have been taking everything in.
I work in a small office and we have started a weight-loss challenge. We weigh in weekly on a doctor's scale and pay $1 each week and whoever loses the highest percentage of body weight wins the pool.
The first week, which ended last Wednesday, I lost 7 pounds. I hadn't really changed anything except less mindless eating and taking a Super B Complex vitamin regularly because the doctor put me on B-12 shots in November. I stepped off and told everyone "This scale is wrong." Everyone was congratulating me and I kept saying it was wrong. How could I lose 7 pounds when I didn't do much of anything? Then I thought of all the new clothes I was going to be able to buy and how much better I was going to look and I started getting excited.
So, today we weighed in again. I gained a pound. Again, I said "This scale is wrong." and I was disappointed. I understand that there is water weight and what clothes I am wearing and stuff but I was a lot more disappointed than I thought I would be.
I need to get motivated and I am hoping that with more regular participation in this thread instead of just lurking will help.
