Cake. Good cake. Not that store-bought stuff. Or that scratched out of a box stuff. But made-from-scratch, filled-with-love cake. With icing, or filling, or both. And (good!) ice cream. None of that cheap blue bunny junk on my took-all-day-to-make-it cake. Yum. ... worth the calories. Plus, if you had to shop for the ingredients, make the batter, create the filling and put the damn thing together. You earned a slice. ... Maybe two.
