I love to knit and just finished a patchwork knitted lapghan. Then I decided to teach myself crocheting. Wow this is a lot harder than I thought it would be. I am working on an afghan too using double crochet stitch. For the uneven edges, which I have too, I thought about adding a crocheted border when I am done. Unless the pattern is really basic I am having a hard time following patterns. I end up with a bunched up mess.

There are a ton of great youtube videos also on crocheting and some go nice and slow and even go slowmotion so that you can follow along. But right now I am sticking to super basic stuff.
