Default This tore at my heartstrings...

...and welled up my eyes. You have an enormous heart, and God bless you for taking this poor puppy baby into your home, and your heart. I heaved a sigh of relief when I read you are bringing her home.

I've had doggies before, but not until my Pinky, have I loved a pet so deeply and so completely. When you posted how sad and defeated she looked, it broke my heart. The thought that it could've been my Pinky in that cage, killed me. Please keep us updated on her progress. I want to hear reports of bright eyes, happy tails, and sloppy wet kisses for her new mommy. I am sorry for your loss of Molly, but I know Molly is happily looking down on you, and is smiling.

Blessings on your heart and home.

As GHD and I have always been partial to the pibbles (we already have one, and I've had several in my life), we decided to go visit his foster home and see if he was a good fit. Turns out that he is a sweet dog...but dominant and very food aggressive...so we had to pass on him for the safety of our other dogs. GHD and I decided that we would take a break, and not look for another dog just yet. Well...this morning...we saw a post on facebook (we both get posts from rescues), about a dog at the Manhattan ACC. She was on the urgent list, which means she had very little time left. We read about her and found that she was an owner surrender (they decided they "didn't want a dog anymore") and that she was only 7 months old. In her picture, she looked so sad, and SO defeated....we decided to drive into the city and take a look at her. Well...her picture didn't lie...she is a beautiful, sweet little dog...but seeing her in person was heartbreaking. She was one of the saddest little dogs I've ever seen! She perked up a bit when we talked to her, and thumped her tail a little as she licked our hands...but then she just put her head down and sighed. It was like she'd just given up. Needless to say....she is now ours...and will be coming home to us, her forever home, this Tuesday. I can't wait to show that sweet little girl that she doesn't need to be sad or afraid anymore..and give her all the love she deserves!
